| The city of Bath is perhaps best known as a premier spa town with its extraordinarily well preserved Roman Baths and beautiful Georgian architecture. The area just to the south of the city in and around the beautiful Midford Valley also has many delights to offer, with a wealth of outdoor activities and in particular popular walking and cycling routes.

Situated just three miles from the city centre, overlooking the charming village of Monkton Combe is Millbrook. It presents the perfect spot for exploring Bath and enjoying the wonderful natural surrounds.

Formerly a Victorian farmhouse, Millbrook has stunning views across the valley, officially designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The grounds and area around the Coach House offer ample space for parking and for the safe storage of bicycles.

There is plenty of scope for wonderful country walks in the woods, or the meadows alongside the brook. Just a few minutes' walk from the Dundas Aqueduct on the Kennet and Avon Canal, there are plenty of opportunities to walk or cycle along the towpath towards Bath or to the ancient market town of Bradford on Avon.

Local bicycle hire is available. All guest rooms have en suite or private bathrooms and come equipped with flat screen TV, DVD players and tea and coffee making facilities.

Wi-Fi internet access is available free of charge. Those who wish to are welcome to relax and enjoy the view from the pleasant gardens or the conservatory in summer, or to enjoy a film or a book from our library by the log fire in winter.

On arrival, guests are welcomed with coffee and biscuits, or tea and home made scones or cake. In the morning the breakfast menu offers fresh fruit and yoghurt, home baked bread, and a delicious range of cooked options using freshly laid eggs from our own chickens. All ingredients are fairly traded wherever possible. For further meals there are a number of good local pubs up and down the valley. The city of Bath of course offers a wealth of restaurants catering for every taste.
